The last real, honest to goodness plastic-wrapped CD we released was "Days of Bright Commotion" by Bacchus Joint.  That was 2010.  Two years and many a late night recording session later, we have a very impressive album from Sweeney Schragg ( Guitar and Vocals) and company (Bill Bosch on Bass, Art Alm tearing up piano and accordian, and Chris Haskett  laying it down on the drums).  The album is twelve original songs with styles consisting of traditional jazz to R&B, ska, zydeco, and the funkiest New Orleans funks. Recorded entirely in-house at the Art Boutiki, the sound is spacious and live; quite simply because that is how the entire album was recorded.  Schragg's desire for authenticity and (to a certain extent) tradition has lead to an excellent product that is unique among today's overproduced norm.

The album is available at The Art Boutiki and from Amazon.com for the time being, but will be available on itunes and to order directly from Slab Yard Sound very soon.
