1000 Smiles Single - A Preview for "Days Of Bright Commotion"

Bacchus Joint presents the new single previewing the upcoming album The Days of
Bright Commotion. Both songs were recorded in the same sessions that produced
the 19 songs on the CD.
1,000 Smiles took lots of work to finalize. After a drastic rearrangement of
the song, this performance, recorded entirely live with no overdubs, satisfied
the musicians at hand. This song is Winebelly’s paean to a fickle member of the
audience.
Determination took an old chord progression, married it to a newly found rhythm,
and sports lyrics written minutes before the recording to capture the emotional
immediacy of the performance. With bass and vibes overdubbed, this song
represents the difficulty of maintaining relationships, and by extension,
finishing that which should not take so long to complete.
